ASC is a part of the official launch of the Slovenian Global Business Network
This past weekend in Nova Gorica marked the official launch of the Slovenian Global Business Network—a coordination platform for Slovenian business clubs and economic institutions abroad. This growing global network now brings together nearly 2,500 Slovenian companies around the world. Our board member, Ursha Prepeluh Magajne, was part of a round table discussion.
The initiative was founded by Ambassador Aljaž Gosnar, Dr. Peter Kraljič, and Dr. Štefan Bogdan Barenboim Šalej, who emphasized that a strong economic community is the foundation of resilience and the continued existence of Slovenians abroad. It also strengthens the broader Slovenian economic space.
“The Slovenian diaspora represents one-fifth of the Slovenian population. Officially, there are 100,006 registered voters in 137 countries, which also signifies a great potential for economic cooperation. The Slovenian business network spans 40 countries and reaches 1.5 billion consumers.
We have succeeded in ensuring that this Slovenian business community is now an integral part of the Slovenian economic ecosystem. With our involvement, that space has expanded.
More than a wish, it is a necessity—almost an imperative—that companies connect and become more competitive.”
The newly appointed president of the economic network, Robert Frandolič, emphasized that the initiative is a dynamic and active platform, created with one clear and highly important goal:
“To connect Slovenian entrepreneurs, professionals, innovators, and individuals tied in any way to the Slovenian economy—regardless of where they are located.
Our main aim is to strengthen the global presence of Slovenia’s economy, encourage collaboration, and create abundant, sustainable new business opportunities that benefit everyone.
We want to build a strong, reliable, and influential global Slovenian business community—one that is known for its innovation, dependability, and ethics, and above all, for its success in the global marketplace.”
