Important Information about Membership

At the American-Slovenian Club, we want to openly acknowledge something many of us are feeling right now: doing business in the United States has become more complex, less predictable, and at times genuinely confusing. Regulatory changes, economic uncertainty, and shifting market conditions affect not only companies entering the U.S. market, but also those of us who live and operate here every day. We feel this instability too.

Precisely because of this, we believe our role is not just to connect, but to actively support Slovenian businesses in the ways that are realistically possible. One of the values we find especially important in times like these is easy access with minimal financial burden. We do not want cost to be a barrier to information, community, or support.

For that reason, we have decided that starting February 1, 2026, the annual membership fee for businesses will be significantly lower, only $300 for 12 months.

For members who have already paid their second recurring membership fee for 2026 at the previous, higher price, we want to be fair and transparent: we will automatically convert your membership into a two-year membership, and no additional charge will be made for the following year.

Because the Club operates with a deliberately lean structure and is run entirely by volunteers, we have set up membership as a yearly subscription that renews automatically. This allows us to reduce administrative overhead and focus our time and energy on actual support, programming, and connections rather than bureaucracy.

That said, we fully understand that automatic renewals can sometimes come as a surprise or simply be forgotten. If a renewal payment catches you off guard, we are happy to issue a full refund within 30 days of the renewal payment date — no questions asked. After those 30 days, refunds are no longer possible.

Our intention is simple and genuine: to remain accessible, fair, and supportive, especially during a period when clarity and trust matter more than ever. We truly value your involvement and look forward to continuing to build a strong, pragmatic bridge between Slovenia and the United States — together.
